Went to see Honeykill at the Dublin Castle. Unfortunately, they had to play the gig without their drummer and Jimi the singer/guitarist had to play drums as well as sing. They seemed an interesting band though, and I look forward to catching them play with their full lineup before too long. The headine band were three Japanese girls I'd never heard of - Bo-Peep. Their innocent sounding name was deceptive and in actual fact they were more like Electric Eel Shock crossed with the Ramones - which is all good! The drummer even looked like a female Japanese Tommy Ramone! They played a very lively set and sounded tight - certainly a band well worth looking out for next time they set foot in this country. |
These Blogs mainly deal with the countless gigs I go to, but there is some other stuff in there too - and the odd rant! I've just finished adding over 900 of my old posts from MySpace on here - everything is now on proper chronological order from 2005 to date - there is a LOT to read. Some of the older links may not work anymore - just click on the highlighted text for links to more info.
