I went to a tribute gig in Camden (the most fitting place) for the late Geoff Starr of Sonic Boom Boys. Finnish rockers No Direction reformed specially just for this event - quite a lot of people were there to see them and they played a good show. The surviving members of Sonic Boom Boys were due to play, but their old drummer Simon 'the Gonk' (who was playing in AntiProduct until recently) couldn't make it as he was in hospital with a bad ankle. Various guest artists got up to play - the highlight was Yo-Yo's and WiLDHEARTS bassist Danny McCormack getting up to play a couple of songs with Jet and punk legend Charlie Harper. I think Geoff would have been proud of that.
