Went to see Girls On Top in Camden. Unfortunately, I arrived too late to see the first band. Maybe I should have arrived too late to see the second band (who shall remain nameless) as well as they were shockingly bad!  The girls looked great, and scored points for covering Blondie's 'Rip Her To Shreds', but they sounded abysmal!  Girls On Top were good fun as usual. The place was fairly full and the band played to an enthusiastic crowd. The New York theme of the night (the first band were apparently from there) was continued with a New York Dolls cover and the girls (and boy) kept us well entertained with some catchy tunes of their own.  |
