I go to see Vamps 'N' Gypsies play their first show at the 12 Bar Club. This is a band who normally overflow the stage at most venues, with members performing from out in the crowd or standing on top of the bar - and here they are confined to what must be the smallest stage of any London rock venue! Singer Nikki ventures off the stage a couple of times, but guitarist Flash Danny goes one better and climbs off the stage onto the balcony. I've seen one or two singers do this at the 12 Bar - Danny goes even further, and plays guitar while hanging upside down from the balcony! ![]() ![]() This is one of the reasons I keep going back to see this band - they always go full out to give a memorable show. The music is pretty good as well, although the sound quality isn't that great on this occasion - however, this band are such good fun it doesn't matter tonight. ![]() |
These Blogs mainly deal with the countless gigs I go to, but there is some other stuff in there too - and the odd rant! I've just finished adding over 900 of my old posts from MySpace on here - everything is now on proper chronological order from 2005 to date - there is a LOT to read. Some of the older links may not work anymore - just click on the highlighted text for links to more info.
