It seems like ages since I've seen AntiProduct as they have been mainly playing in Europe and working on their new album and forthcoming single in the USA this year. Now with the imminent release of their forthcoming single - a 40th aniverary of the song cover of the Beach Boys classic 'Good Vibrations' there is a frantic burst of gig and other activity from the band. This starts off with tonight's show at Electrowerkz - one of London's most unusual venues - but in some ways one of the best.

This was an all-nighter, also featuring the Texas Chainsaw horror cabaret show - AntiProduct don't hit the stage until around two in the morning. I went to a Chainsaw show in Tufnel Park earlier this year and enjoyed it and the bands the show featured, but to be honest what little I saw this time (a crucifiction, a bloke hung up with hooks, a geezer with an angle grinder, and some girls piercing each other with needles and spanking each other) I found quite boring and I just wanted AntiProduct to start their show.

Through no fault of the band's, this wasn't the best AntiProduct show I've seen by a long way.  The sound was terrible, but fortunately the crowd were well up for having a good time.  A.Product is one of the best frontmen out there - and at times he really is 'out there'.

The venue was packed and it was difficult to get into a good position to take pictures.

This was the first time I've seen the new lineup of the band - now featuring Chris Catalyst on bass and the Murderdolls Ben Graves on drums. I couldn't really hear or see what was happening on stage to be able to cast judgement on them at this gig so as far as I'm concerned the jury is still out.

This was the first time I've taken a camera to an AntiProduct show, and unfortunately it was a bit of a disaster as far as taking pictures of the band was concerned - for a start the lighting made things very difficult with strobes and other lighting flashing into the crowd - then quite early in the set there was the stage invasion. This was prompted by the song 'Bungee Jumping People Die' and the usual 'audience participation' section of the show which A.Product encourages - on this occasion inviting everyone up on stage. Most of the crowd were happy to oblige on the extended forward part of the stage. The atmosphere was terrific, with lots of people made up for this Haloween party gig - and AntiProduct are a great party band.

I was pleased at the begining of the stage invasion as it meant there was finally space at the front for me to get a good place - ready for when everybody got off the stage at the end of the song. Only the crowd didn't get off the stage. At all. They stayed there for the entire show. Oh well.

Still, everbody was having a good time - which is the main thing. And hopefully they enjoyed themselves enough to want to go and see the band again - which they will have the chance to do in a few weeks.

Apparently, I had a good time too.  I'm told I was so utterly trashed it was hilarious!  Also, the bloke on AntiProduct's merch stand told me I was the scaryist looking guy there - even though I'd gone as myself!  I managed to somehow avoid having to be carried out of the venue by girls as I could barely walk (wouldn't have been the first time this year apparently) or having any more 'incidents' that involved me being covered in (real) blood, so that was a result!

I finally staggered out of the venue about six in the morning when the tubes were running again, and promtly fell asleep on the train and missed my stop - even though I only needed to stay awake for one stop to change at Kings Cross.  I woke up in Knightsbridge. I didn't feel much like shopping however, and besides - the shops weren't even open that early in the morning so I went straight home. I eventually fell in the front door about eight in the morning. When I finally woke up it was dark again and I'd missed Saturday. Then I realised I had to be at Bar Monsta in Camden in a couple of hours to see Kitty Hudson so I had to get my breakfast and lunch down me sharpish and head off out again seemingly almost as soon as I'd got home from my last adventure...
