Back to Bar Monsta again to see Shush. This is a band who don't seem to do bad shows - they just seem to get better. They are all experienced musicians and have mostly served (or are still serving) in the mighty AntiProduct - a band you will be hearing a lot about in blogs for the forthcoming week. ![]() ![]() I am pleased to find that the final band on the bill tonight is The Clams. I've seen them as a support band a couple of times and have been very impressed by their heavy stoner type riffing mixed with 70's hard rock influences. They take the energy to a higher level than other stoner bands, and have more complex songs than just basing them around one or two heavy riffs. They are also very loud! Their music is quite intense and they managed to get people moving - these are fine musicians who play and work off each other really well as a proper band - as opposed to a bunch of good musicians who happen to be all playing the same song at the same time. It's a real pleasure to see a band who work as well together as this - it's not something you see that often. Another excellent value for money night at Bar Monsta. ![]() |
These Blogs mainly deal with the countless gigs I go to, but there is some other stuff in there too - and the odd rant! I've just finished adding over 900 of my old posts from MySpace on here - everything is now on proper chronological order from 2005 to date - there is a LOT to read. Some of the older links may not work anymore - just click on the highlighted text for links to more info.
