I haven't been to this Kentish Town venue since it was called The Verge a couple of years or so ago. It has changed a lot since it's days as a sleazy rock dive and is now an upmarket cocktail bar. However, live music has been making an appearance recently and there is now a much better equipped stage than The Verge had. The basic layout of the place has changed very little, unlike the decor. It's now rather plush - in fact it's a very comfortable venue to see a band - not what us rock fans are used to at all! In fact I was pleasantly surprised as this was my first visit to Bullet Bar. Not only are there comfy sofas, bar there is in fact a variety of draught beer available at this cocktail bar - at reasonable prices too. The tables also have free chocolates and sweets on them - I could get to like this!

It seemed an odd place for Honeykill to be playing, but in fact it made a refreshing change from the normal rock 'n' roll toilets of the London music scene.

"I'm 'aving a fag!"

The sound was also unusually good for a rock venue as the place had a decent PA with plenty of stage monitors and a decent sized desk.

The band seemed to enjoy playing the place, and they got a very enthusiastic reception from the modest Sunday night crowd.

All in all it was a surprisingly pleasant evening out in an unusual venue - good music, in unusually nice surroundings for a change.
This venue (formerly 'The Verge' and latterly 'The Flowerpot') has now closed.
