My fifth night out in a row finds me back in the less than pleasant pong of the Bull & Gate. This time I'm here for the AC/DC influenced sound of Big Num - a band who I'm sure a lot more people would have cottoned onto by now if they were based in London. This band normally get a great live sound - largely due to their classic simple equipment setup and lack of effects pedals. However, it's not so clear tonight and the sound is a bit muddy in this venue tonight. As the pictures show, the stage lighting left a lot to be desired too, from what is a well known venue. This band always give a good performance though, and with cracking songs like 'Too Clever For Words' they make it worth the trip down to Kentish Town to see them. |
These Blogs mainly deal with the countless gigs I go to, but there is some other stuff in there too - and the odd rant! I've just finished adding over 900 of my old posts from MySpace on here - everything is now on proper chronological order from 2005 to date - there is a LOT to read. Some of the older links may not work anymore - just click on the highlighted text for links to more info.
