The second Honeykill gig I've been to in a week, but this one's rather closer to home. The Legion in Old Street is an odd venue, but not in a bad way. It's an unusual shape - very long, almost like a wide corridor! If you are a lager drinker you'll find quite a good selection at the rather expensive bar - if like me you prefer your beer of the brown variety you are out of luck.  In spite of it's longness (is that a word? - well it is now!) the layout of the place is quite good and the stage is unusually high.

Jimi has a problem with his usual guitar as the band start their set, but fortunately has a spare one ready. The sound out front is pretty good and Honeykill sound great tonight! The current lineup of the band is easily the strongest and most powerful yet, and now having two lead vocalists and songwriters has really added another dimension to the band.

The guitars cut through well and Alfie's snare is hard hitting and powerful. Keyboard player Paivi is back for this gig, although unfortunately it may be her last with Honeykill due to other commitments.

The band are on fine form tonight turn in one of their most dynamic performances to date.

Honeykill seem to be taking notice of the fact that the East End (and Shoreditch/Hoxton area in particular) is becoming 'the new Camden' and are playing a few gigs in the area, with one in another Shoreditch venue next month...
