A bit of an odd night at the Rhythm Factory this. Due to some problem with missing drum hardware or something the band take to the stage really late. ![]() Having seen Honeykill many times I wasn't sure quite what to expect. There have been major changes to the lineup since I last saw the band - in fact frontman Jimi is the only person remaining since last time I saw them. Apparently they now have a brass section, but tonight there is only a single girl playing sax. Bass player Tish has gone and not been replaced - seeing a rock band without a bass player is very strange as something is so obviously missing. ![]() The individual members play well enough and their performances can't really be faulted, but Honeykill certainly doesn't have the same vibe it used to have - it just doesn't seem like a proper band at the moment. It will be interesting to see how things progress with Honeykill from here... I would have liked to hang around for a bit of a chat, but the East End isn't the easiest place to get home from if you live on the extreme northern edge of London and miss the last tube, so I had to leg it to avoid the horrors of multiple night buses. ![]() |
These Blogs mainly deal with the countless gigs I go to, but there is some other stuff in there too - and the odd rant! I've just finished adding over 900 of my old posts from MySpace on here - everything is now on proper chronological order from 2005 to date - there is a LOT to read. Some of the older links may not work anymore - just click on the highlighted text for links to more info.
