Honeykill are back at the 12 Bar Club after a very successful first visit. There is quite a good crowd present in this very intimate west end venue to see them.
The stage is rather cramped to say the least, but in spite of the confines of the venue the sound quality is surprisingly good tonight.
There is the odd 'technical' problem: Alfie (the Italian Stallion) rests his pint of beer on one of his drums, and promptly forgets it's there before launching into the next song - with spectacular results! - Paivi finds her keyboards keep flying off their stand.
No Paivi - it's not time to go home yet!

The band have definitely stepped up a gear recently and their shows are now more powerful and dynamic - the recruitment of the Italian version of Keith Moon has a lot to do with this. Honeykill always had good songs, but they have been given a new lease of life now. The dynamic of the band has also shifted somewhat with the departure of guitarist Richard, which brings Paivi's keyboards more to the fore.
Steely eyed bass vixen Tish is now doing more backing vocals which helps fill out the sound.

Jimi searches for that ellusive 13th note while Tish looks on disapprovingly:

After the Honeykill set we rush off to the Purple Turtle in a vain attempt to get there in time to see Disarm at the Pure Rawk promotions 'Pirate Night'. Unfortunately we arrive as the last band GU Medicine are playing, but the bar is still open for another three hours so...
