Friday finds me down at London's most intimate rock 'n' roll venue for a fun night.
The 12 Bar Club see's the return of the Gasoline Queens after a break from live action of around 3 years.

The band turn in a tight and tuneful set - you'd never think they had been away. There is a slight change to the lineup tonight as usual bass player Zig isn't available for this gig and his place is taken by Dave Renegade who moves over from his normal rhythm guitar duties.

The band turn in an enjoyable set and include along with their own songs an excellent cover of the Dogs D'Amour song 'Last Bandit'. It's good to see this band back, and I look forward to seeing them again with their normal lineup soon...

The main act tonight is The Loyalties - a band who can always be relied on to give a spirited performance!

Like the previous band, there are some variations in the lineup tonight. Previous drummer Snell seems to have departed. Guitarist Lee Jonez is leaving but plays tonight - along with Rich Jones and new guitarist Rich Rags who can usually be seen playing with the Role Models.

The Loyalties play some cracking tunes and turn in an energetic performance. After nearly splitting up not long ago, it's good news to hear that this Yo-Yo's offshoot band have another album on the way in the New Year and some interesting plans in the pipeline.
It's been a very enjoyable night at one of my favourite venues - one of those nights when everyone (well nearly) seems to be there and the atmosphere at this tiny club is superb!
