Back to Holloway Road's friendliest and best value for money music venue tonight - I'm at Nambucca to see Patchwork Grace. This excellent band from Nottingham are starting to pop up much more regularly in London now, and are starting to draw a few people. It's a bit of an odd bill for Patchwork Grace, and the other bands have brought a crowd of indie kids - who aren't interested in seeing anyone other than the particular band they are friends of. Patchwork Grace to manage to attract the attention of some of these kids all the same, and even get some of them dancing! The band in their current incarnation are more 'Karen O' than 'Queen Adreena', but this lineup is the strongest musical unit - even though these days they lean more towards pop than rock. They seem to be doing something right though as they are starting to get more attention.... |
These Blogs mainly deal with the countless gigs I go to, but there is some other stuff in there too - and the odd rant! I've just finished adding over 900 of my old posts from MySpace on here - everything is now on proper chronological order from 2005 to date - there is a LOT to read. Some of the older links may not work anymore - just click on the highlighted text for links to more info.
