Interview with a vampire...

So on Friday I went to give blood. Nothing remarkable about this - I've done it loads of time before. So there I am having filled out the usual questionaire and I get to the bit where they take little blood sample to test by dropping a couple of drops into little phials of liquid - the idea being to see if they float or sink. Well the drop in the first phial acted as it was supposed to and sank. But the one in the second refused to sink - even after being nudged a bit. A second drop of blood was taken from my finger and the same thing happened. This has never happened before so I was starting to worry if something was wrong - was I anaemic? Was my donation going to be refused? Maybe my iron count was too low or something? I know these are things that blood is tested for. So I had to ask what was wrong? I was told there was no reason I couldn't donate, but I actually had a high iron count! Not a problem apparently, but it's never happened before. It's weird - it's not like I've been drinking Guinness or anything!

So I guess it's official then - I am a 'Man of Metal'.

In fact - I AM IRON MAN!
