Still struggling (and failing) to catch up with my blogging and still over a month behind...

I took my camera to this gig at Bar Monsta instead of relying on my phone for pictures, and I seem to have taken far too many pictures instead of just enjoying the music and the show.

The thing is, at a Drugdealer*Cheerleader show there is always so much happening on stage - you don't even know where to look half the time.

The band are good musicians, and frontman Hilda is very energetic - always doing his best to whip the crowd up into a frenzy.

They also have Rob Lane of Teenage Casket Company and DIP helping them out on bass duties again.

And as well as the normal musicians in the band, there is also a female backing singer and two cheerleaders to add glamour to the show.

As I said, there always plenty going on - so you can't really get bored at a Drugdealer*Cheerleader show.

If you just want to leave your brain at work and be entertained of an evening then this is a good band to go and see.

It look like this is the last time the band will play in London this year as they are going to take a break from the live scene to start work on writing some new songs for their next album.

I don't think there are enough bands around these days who try to make music fun again. Drugdealer*Cheerleader do that and make a major effort to put on a memorable and entertaining show every time they play.
PS: This place was still a really cool little venue back then. It's gone right downhill since and is now known as 'Camden Rock' - a truly horrible place.
