Now I'm slowly getting my new flat sorted out I'm managing to get out more - tonight I'm off to Camden for some punk inspired New York flavoured rock 'n' roll. I arrived at the Dublin Castle and found it absolutely heaving with indie kids. Dave and Andy suggested nipping over the road for a quick pint at the Spread Eagle in less crowded surroundings before Brijitte West & the Desperate Hopefuls took to the stage. It seemed like a good idea at the time... We got back to the Dublin Castle and found Brijitte & Co had already started their set! It was a good performance from the band, with more of Brijjite's new material being played at previous gigs now she has a new album to promote. You can still expect to hear the odd song from Brijitte's old band New York Loose though. I would have taken more pictures, but this bloke with a video camera insisted on spending almost the entire show standing right in front of the stage blocking everyone's view and shoving his camera in Brijitte's face. The music was good so it was worth the trip though. |
These Blogs mainly deal with the countless gigs I go to, but there is some other stuff in there too - and the odd rant! I've just finished adding over 900 of my old posts from MySpace on here - everything is now on proper chronological order from 2005 to date - there is a LOT to read. Some of the older links may not work anymore - just click on the highlighted text for links to more info.
