So after Honeykill's rather 'in your face' set we get Patchwork Grace - and they aren't exactly shinking violets either!

Unfortunately, this is one of Bar Monsta's crap sound nights and none of the bands get a decent mix. This doesn't stop Patchwork Grace from putting on a good show though.

This band are always good fun, and it helps that they also have tunes with good catchy pop hooks as well as a full on ROCK attitude.

Most the songs from their excellent 'Milk Teeth' album get an airing and the crowd are well entertained.

Last band were Sign. (thanks for reminding me Karen!). These rockers from Iceland play well and sound almost like a Skid Row tribute act - an impression confirmed by them also playing a Skid Row cover. They have a good frontman, but I have to say I don't quite 'get' them and see what all the fuss is about.  Maybe they will grow on me in time - looks like I'll be seeing them again in August...

It was another excellent value for money night at Bar Monsta with a good crowd and a nice atmosphere - it usually seems a better vibe in these small Camden venues compared to the better known ones that the music press tend to hype up - often undeservedly.
PS: This used to be a really cool little venue - then it became 'Camden Rock' and turned into a horrible place.
