Another one of those free gigs at the World's End in Camden on a Sunday. It's a nice relaxing way to spend a late Sunday afternoon/early evening. There is a friendly vibe in the pub, the beer is usually good as well as being reasonably priced - and you get the chance to see three or four bands for free. The other bands were nothing memorable on this occasion, but Eights 'n' Aces were a cut above with their up-tempo contemporary rock sound.

It was a warm summer afternoon so I left my jacket and camera at home to travel light, so no apologies for the poor quality phone picture - you'll have to get used to it while the good weather lasts. (probably not for long then) This band are certainly worth checking out if you're into alternative rock along the lines of QOTSA and they seem to to popping up quite regularly in Camden at the moment.

The bands at the World's End on a Sunday are all finished by around nine in the evening, so there is time to head off to catch one of the hard rock/metal cover bands playing elsewhere in Camden at the Monarch or Unicorn.  I think on this occasion I went to catch Metalworks at the Monarch (formerly Moon Under Water) round the corner in Chalk Farm Road, but two months and many beers later I can't actually remember...
