Got back from a busy weekend in York late on Monday afternoon and had to start getting ready to go out again almost as soon as I'd unpacked - no rest for the wicked. Or me. I arrived in Camden in plenty of time for once, even though Shush were on relatively early. I've seen this band a few times now, and they were good from the first time I saw them. They have continued to improve - particularly since ex-AntiProduct drummer Simon has joined the band. An interesting recent addition to the band's set is their only cover - Blondie's 'Call Me'. This fits in the the band's pop/pop guitar and vocal assault very well, and Simon looks like he's really enjoying playing like Blondie's Clem Burke playing like Keith Moon. I'm surprised more people haven't been catching on to this band yet - they have some catchy songs up their sleeve and they play them like they mean it. |
These Blogs mainly deal with the countless gigs I go to, but there is some other stuff in there too - and the odd rant! I've just finished adding over 900 of my old posts from MySpace on here - everything is now on proper chronological order from 2005 to date - there is a LOT to read. Some of the older links may not work anymore - just click on the highlighted text for links to more info.
